## Recommendation

In other words, Microsoft 365 Business is worth it for teams that need full Office desktop apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) + email + Teams + SharePoint + OneDrive — particularly if you have Windows-heavy workforce or compliance requirements. Apps for Business covers desktop apps only; Business Standard adds Teams, SharePoint, and email; Business Premium adds Intune device management and Azure AD. Easy for anyone with Office experience; SharePoint has a learning curve. Native integrations across Microsoft ecosystem plus 3,000+ third-party apps. Downside: Copilot AI is a separate subscription per user, and licensing complexity confuses procurement teams.

## Alternative to consider

Google-centric team? Pick Google Workspace (cheaper, cleaner web experience). Just want free office suite? LibreOffice or OnlyOffice.
