Notes

2026-09-22 STATUS SET TO DEPRECATED. Amp Free is no longer purchasable by anyone. The 2026-09-20 run found the first source stating the free tier is not merely closed to new signups but PAUSED OUTRIGHT, with Sourcegraph saying it does not intend to bring it back. A second source dates the signup closure to 2026-02-10, with existing users retaining $10/day. That makes the freeze flagged on Aug 16 and Sep 6 a permanent discontinuation. A $0 plan that nobody can sign up for does not belong in a calculator whose job is to help people choose what to buy. Price left at $0 — historically accurate. Status change is the fix. ALSO UNRESOLVED ON THIS ROW (for whoever revisits it): the Usage Cap failed confirmation in 4 of the last 5 runs, the ad-supported status flip-flopped across 5 runs, Amp was spun out as an independent company (Amp Frontier Corporation) in Dec 2025 so the Vendor field may be wrong, and Amp introduced paid Megawatt/Gigawatt tiers in July 2026 that are not tracked here. If Amp is to be represented in the calculator at all, it should be as a new row for the current paid offer, not this one.
