In other words, Xero is worth it for global SMBs (1-100 employees) that need cloud accounting + multi-currency support + strong bank feed automation — particularly if you're outside the US or scaling internationally where QuickBooks weakens. Early is entry tier (bank rec + basic invoicing); Growing removes invoice limits; Established adds multi-currency + expenses + projects. Moderate learning curve for full feature depth. Native integrations with Stripe, PayPal, Gusto, Shopify, and 1,000+ apps. Downside: raised prices multiple times in 2026 (US Early raised again Oct 1), and payroll (add-on in US, native in AU/NZ/UK) lags Gusto.

Current US pricing: Early $25/mo, Growing $55/mo, Established $90/mo — all USD, exclusive of sales tax, no annual billing option. Vendor announced Oct 1, 2026 price increase: Early $25→$27, Growing $55→$59, Established $90→$97 (+$2/+$4/+$7 respectively). Prior July 28 correction to $13 was WRONG (was showing AU/NZ pricing, not US). Fix applied: reverted to correct US Early $25, fixed Growing $25→$55 and Established $50→$90 in Pricing Tiers. Set another manual verify reminder for Oct 2, 2026 to bump for the announced increase. Note: US Xero has no Lite tier (that's an AU/NZ-only entry-level launch).
