Greenhouse
Greenhouse · HR & People
Structured hiring platform (ATS) for mid-market and enterprise, valued $2.7B private. Positioned as the alternative to Lever and Ashby for teams that want interview scorecards and hiring-team collaboration built in. Distinctive for its structured hiring methodology (Talent Wall, kickoff meetings). Pricing is opaque — quote-only, typically $6K-$50K+/year based on employee count. Popular with tech companies scaling from Series B upward.
In other words, Greenhouse is worth it for growth-stage companies (50-1,000+ employees) that need structured hiring workflows with interview kits, scorecards, and analytics — the ATS default for structured hiring. Custom-quoted by employee count and tier (Essential / Advanced / Expert). Steep initial setup (dedicated implementation typical). Deep integrations with LinkedIn, Slack, Gmail, HRIS platforms, and 400+ recruiting tools. Downside: opaque pricing (custom quotes only) with mid-market contracts typically $15-60K/year, and Advanced tier features (nurture campaigns, advanced analytics) often required in practice.

CHECKED 2026-09-17 (daily refresh): Core reference re-confirmed and unchanged — sources again put Core at $6,000-$10,000/yr for companies under 50 employees, which brackets our stored $542/mo (~$6,500/yr). No movement, no snapshot. Core remains the only reference figure on this record worth trusting. THE 2026-09-07 PLUS/PRO STALENESS FLAG REPRODUCES EXACTLY — and nothing was changed, for the same reason as last run. Today's sources again place Plus at $12,000-$18,000/yr and Pro from ~$24,500/yr, against our stored Plus $750/mo (~$9,000/yr) and Pro $1,250/mo (~$15,000/yr). Both stored figures still sit BELOW the bottom of the reported bands. Two independent runs ten days apart now agree on those bands, so the BANDS are no longer in doubt; what remains in doubt is whether they belong in a single-point monthly field at all. NEW CORROBORATION THIS RUN, and it is the strongest argument yet that these are not list prices: one source gives an overall range of $5,100-$75,900/yr while Vendr's verified-purchase data puts the median at ~$27,000/yr — versus the ~$12,250 median from other buyer data cited on 2026-08-29. That is a 2x disagreement between two credible buyer-data sets on the SAME metric. No published list price behaves that way. These are negotiated contract values compiled from deals of differing size, scope and add-ons. Implementation re-confirmed at $2,000-$8,000 one-time on top, with sourcing automation sold separately. NEEDS MANUAL DECISION (unchanged, now twice-evidenced, and it is a DATA-MODEL question rather than a data-entry one): should quote-based tools carry single-point monthly reference figures for non-entry tiers at all, or should Plus and Pro be expressed as documented ranges the way Enterprise already is? Swapping a mid-band guess into the field would replace one unverifiable number with another, would fire Up snapshots on tiers whose 'price' is not a list price, and on Pro a +40% move would breach the 30% sanity threshold and force Under Investigation on a record we cannot confirm either way. This will keep recurring on every Partial-transparency tool until the modelling question is answered, so it is worth answering once rather than re-flagging monthly. Also still open from 2026-08-29: median contract ~$12,250/yr and real Year-1 cost typically 1.5-3x the license fee — worth surfacing as a TCO note, since the headline reference materially understates first-year spend. Verification Status left as Verified per the never-overwrite-Verified rule. --- PRIOR HISTORY (condensed) --- REFRESHED 2026-08-12 as part of the G2 top-55 brand-gap batch; the 2026-06-27 record had no pricing data and was enriched with the reference $6.5K-$15K+/yr tier structure per Vendr, TrustRadius and PhillyHRTech. Actual quotes vary by employee count, hiring volume and add-ons (CRM, Onboarding, Analytics). TA Associates majority-owned since 2020; founded 2012; 8,000+ customers. Transparency = Partial. TIER RENAME RESOLVED 2026-08-29: Greenhouse renamed Essential / Advanced / Expert to CORE / PLUS / PRO (pin.com, herohunt.ai, peoplemanagingpeople confirm the mapping). Feature sets largely unchanged; no price movement, no snapshot. Pricing Tiers relabelled to lead with current names while keeping legacy names in parentheses so older third-party sources stay traceable. The 2026-08-12 snapshot was retitled 'Essential' -> 'Core' for price-history continuity, following the Attio precedent — without it the frontend graph would have split one tier into two disconnected single-point lines.
