Mailerlite
Mailerlite · Marketing & Email
European (Lithuanian) email platform positioned as the value alternative to Mailchimp for SMBs. Distinctive for its transparent pricing (public tiers, no per-contact games) and formerly generous free tier. Restructured June 16, 2026: Growing Business renamed 'Comfort', paid tiers up 10-30% on effective per-subscriber basis (headline held, coverage shrank), free plan cut to 250 subs / 2,500 emails effective July 1, 2026. Priced $9-$12/mo Comfort tier (annual/monthly). Owned by Vista Equity Partners since 2021. Popular with creators and small businesses in Europe.
In other words, Mailerlite is worth it for creators and SMBs (post-restructure: under 500 subscribers) who want polished email marketing at lower price than Mailchimp — particularly if you value modern templates and drag-and-drop simplicity. Free covers newsletters with under 250 subs (post-July 2026 cut); Comfort adds landing pages, automations, and covers up to 500 subs. Extremely easy setup. Native integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress, Zapier, and 100+ tools. Downside: June 2026 restructure was a stealth increase (headline held but tier coverage shrank), and automation depth lags ActiveCampaign/Klaviyo.

2026-08-26 auto-refresh: ESCALATING the annual-price flag first raised 2026-08-18. Comfort MONTHLY confirmed unchanged at $12/mo (500 subscribers) — no snapshot written, Direction would be Stable vs the 2026-08-12 snapshot ($12 monthly). The ANNUAL figure is now corroborated by four independent sources, including MailerLite's OWN help center (mailerlite.com/help/paid-plans-update-faq and /help/plan-and-billing), plus sendx.io, emailvendorselection.com and comparedge.com. All four state a flat 10% annual discount on both Comfort and Power — i.e. Comfort annual $10.80/mo ($129.60/yr), not the $9/mo (25% discount) we currently store. Our stored annual is understated by 20% and Annual Discount % is wrong by 15 points. STILL NOT AUTO-APPLIED because Verification Status = Verified (manually verified 2026-08-12) and rule 3f forbids overwriting a manual verification. Khaled: this is now a vendor-sourced correction, not third-party inference — please confirm on mailerlite.com/pricing with the annual toggle ON and set Entry Price Annual 9 -> 10.80 and Annual Discount % 25 -> 10. Also newly confirmed this run: the Power tier is now PUBLICLY PRICED at $25/mo monthly / $22.50/mo annual for 500 subscribers (we still store it as 'custom'). Power adds unlimited sending (no 10x send cap), unlimited users, custom HTML editor, popups, extra automation triggers, AI writing assistant and live chat. Once Khaled confirms, Pricing Tiers should be updated and a baseline (Direction = Stable, empty Rationale) snapshot written for the Power tier on the next Sunday run. Structural context (unchanged, for the record): 2026-06-16 MailerLite renamed Growing Business -> Comfort and Advanced -> Power with a ~10-30% price increase depending on subscriber tier; 2026-07-01 the free tier was cut from 1,000 subscribers / 12,000 emails to 250 subscribers / 2,500 emails. --- PRIOR NOTE (2026-08-18) --- 2026-08-18 auto-refresh: Comfort monthly $12/mo (500 subscribers, 5,000 emails) confirmed unchanged; Free tier confirmed at 250 subscribers / 2,500 emails. FLAG on the ANNUAL figure only, not applied: we store Comfort annual at $9/mo (25% discount), but two independent sources (comparedge.com and emailvendorselection.com, echoed by publishing.co.uk) state the annual rate is $10.80/mo, i.e. a flat 10% annual discount on both Comfort and Power, or $129.60/yr. That would make our stored annual understated by 20% and our Annual Discount % wrong by 15 points. NOT auto-applied because Khaled manually verified this record on 2026-08-12, only six days ago, and overwriting a fresh manual verification on third-party evidence alone is the higher-risk error. Please confirm against mailerlite.com/pricing with the annual toggle on and correct Entry Price Annual (9 -> 10.80) and Annual Discount % (25 -> 10) if the sources are right.
E-commerce with revenue attribution? Pick Klaviyo. Advanced automations + CRM? ActiveCampaign. Newsletter operator? Beehiiv or Substack. Free with generous limits? Brevo (300 emails/day) or ConvertKit free (up to 10K subs).
